Epermenia falcata : ウィキペディア英語版 | Epermenia falcata
''Epermenia falcata'' is a moth in the Epermeniidae family. It was described by Gaedike in 2008.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=LepIndex )〕 It is found in North America, where it has been recorded from Washington. The wingspan is 18–20 mm. The forewings are yellowish-ochre, intermixed with yellowish-brown and brown scales. There are dark brown tufts of raised scales at the dorsum and three very small dark brown tufts near the base of the fringe, as well as a sickle-shaped dark brown streak on the fringe from the apex to the dorsum. The first fourth of the costa is dark brown with a large patch reaching the cell. Above the first tuft is a broad brown strip, and a pale brown streak runs from the costa to the second tuft with a darker brown patch in the middle. There are some very small dark brown dots along the costa, and on the base of cell is a very small black dot. The hindwings are shining white. ==Etymology== The species name refers to the shape of the dark streak near the apex of the forewings and is derived from Latin ''falcatus'' (meaning sickle-shaped).〔, 2008: New species and records of the Nearctic Epermeniidae (Lepidoptera).
